Introduction
Hi there! We are Patrick and Bobby and thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We met at an online dating site more than a decade ago, with our first date taking place in Chicago. We were both still in college; and, ever since meeting, we have shared many great life experiences and are very much looking forward to what life has instore for us next. We always talked about expanding our family, with adoption always being our first choice. Providing a safe and loving home to a child is our up most important goal.
About Us
Our first date was in the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower) in Chicago. This was followed by an early dinner at an Italian restaurant and a few games of bowling. The attraction was immediate, and our relationship flourished rather quickly. We bonded by our goals in life, as well as our passion for travel. Traveling has become a very important part of our lives, and it is a passion that we hope to share with a child. In 2015, we spontaneously married in a small courtroom ceremony, surrounded by our parents.
As it relates to children, we both agreed that only when both of us were ready, we would further explore our options. It wasn't until Christmas Eve of 2019, that we found ourselves thinking of what a child's face will be like, surrounded by our family, love, laughter, and, of course, presents. Christmas is one of our favorite holidays, and we find so much joy hosting our loved ones in our home. It was on that Christmas Eve in 2019 when our journey to become parents began. We have so many values that our parents passed on to us, and we can’t wait to pass on those values to a child.
Our Family and Friends
We are very close to both of our families. Both families get along very well, and we attempt to build great memories with each other every year. In the summer, we all visit our family lake cabin in Northern Minnesota, where we celebrate Patrick’s birthday and the 4th of July. We spend our days in the water, culminating in a great dinner and some amazing fireworks. This is one of our favorite pastimes, as we catch up with and have fun with family. We also love hosting our families and friends during the Christmas holidays, where we reflect on our year while eating delicious food and sharing presents
We have great friends in different parts of the country. We host our friends throughout the year, where we do different activities with them, such as going to the beach, spending time in NYC, seeing a Broadway play, or going to a museum. Each year, we also plan a weeklong trip with friends to a destination we have never been before. We are fortunate to have friends who are also adventurous and share the same passion for traveling as we do.
Our Home
We live in a five-bedroom Tudor house in Northern New Jersey with our two dogs and two cats. Our house is located in a great school district in a diverse neighborhood with tons of young children, parks, and family friendly activities. We also live close to the American Museum of Natural History and the Bronx Zoo.
Our Message to You
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and for considering us as adoptive parents to your child. We will never know how difficult this decision is for you to make, but know that if chosen, we promise that this child will be loved unconditionally and well cared for. We also promise to provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Their health and overall happiness are our upmost priority. We take the responsibility of being parents seriously and are committed to this journey. We can't wait to welcome a child to our home and build many memories as we go.
