Introduction
Hello! We are Anthony and Ron. We want to thank you so much for taking the time to look at our profile. We appreciate how difficult this must be for you and are honored that you would consider making us a part of your family through adoption. We hope that this gives you a glimpse into our lives and who we hope to be as parents, and that we can help you find comfort in your decision.
About Us
We both grew up in New Jersey and met in college where we were members of the student government. We have been together since 2004 and married since 2012. Anthony is a high school guidance counselor and Ron is an attorney; we have both been very fortunate to have successful careers that we enjoy. We love to spend our time with friends and family, going to shows and concerts, or just hanging out at home. We have built a strong relationship based on our shared values and interests and can’t wait for this next chapter in our lives.
Our Friends and Family
We are very close to our families and spend a lot of time with them. Anthony’s parents still live in the house he grew up in just 15 minutes away so we see them all the time for family dinners and outings. His sister and brother-in-law also live 15 minutes away with their one-year-old daughter and we try to see them every week. Anthony’s parents are doting grandparents and very excited to extend that love to our growing family. We are also very close with Ron’s two sisters. His older sister has two sons, 12 and 10, who are looking forward to babysitting their new cousin once they’re a little older, and his younger sister is beginning to plan for a family of her own. Ron’s father, who was adopted himself, and step-mother live in Florida (close to Disney!) where they run a candy store.
We both come from large extended families – birthday and holiday parties are a big part of our lives. We always make time to celebrate the good times and enjoy each other’s company. We really appreciate how lucky we are to have such a big, supportive family and know that everyone will join us in raising and loving a child.
Our friends are like family to us. Many of them are raising children of their own, ready with advice, hand-me-downs and playmates for our little one.
Our Home and Community
We live in a 4 bedroom suburban home with a large back yard, perfect for raising a family. We love our neighborhood and chose it for its diversity and proximity to our families and jobs. The local elementary school is at the end of our street, along with a big playground and baseball field. Over the last six years we have enjoyed fixing up our house and making it our own. Anthony uses his creative eye to make everything beautiful and Ron makes sure everything is safe and functional for us.
Our Message to You
Thank you again for considering us in this most difficult decision. We want you to know how excited we are to become parents and how loved a child would be in our home. They will be constantly surrounded by people who love and adore them. We will raise them to be kind, passionate and healthy; we will provide a life that is full of fun and laughter; we will support them in their dreams and make sure they are well educated and prepared for all of life’s challenges. Most importantly, we will make sure that he or she always knows how loved they are not only by us and our family, but by you and yours. They will never doubt the strength and courage of your decision or the love behind it.
