Introduction
We are Dina & Chris! Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little bit about us.
We have a lot of love to give and want to be parents more than anything. As parents, our goal for your child will be LOVE, LAUGHTER, and SECURITY. We promise to nurture and guide your child so that he or she can have the opportunity to grow and develop into a happy, confident, and caring individual.
Not a day will go by without them hearing “I love you.”
Coming from such supportive families, we’ve learned that positive, honest communication is the cornerstone of loving, lasting relationships. This is the foundation of our relationship, and we will model this for both you and your child in everything we say and do.
MEET DINA (BY CHRIS)
Dina can be silly and goofy with childlike excitement– she’ll laugh at her own corny jokes and counts down the days to when new Star Wars movies are released! We love to dance and are always on the dance floor at weddings, christenings and parties. Her enthusiasm when attending concerts and sporting events is contagious.
Dina is a very hard worker and I admire her work ethic. She is blessed with a corporate culture that is family-friendly and allows working from home and generous vacation time. This flexibility will allow Dina to make school plays, parent teacher conferences, soccer practice, and stay home at the first sign of a cough or sniffle.
Dina has also achieved a lot of goals in education – not only did she graduate from college, but she has her Masters’ Degree. I know she will be an inspiration to our child.
I am so happy and proud that I’ve chosen her to be my wife and I know she will be a wonderful mother.
MEET CHRIS (BY DINA)
Chris has the biggest heart. I am lucky to call him my husband. He is generous, funny and kind. His smile is infectious, and he makes me laugh every day.
Chris is the type of person that loves getting to know other people and learning from them. He’s devoted and loyal and would do anything to help a friend in need. I love watching him with our niece and nephews, especially when they play pretend or create something from Lego pieces.
Chris loves to play sports and I know he’s looking forward to being active with our child – either throwing a baseball, kicking a soccer ball, playing in the park or flying a kite.
His career has been primarily in Sales. His favorite part of Sales is meeting different people every day. Chris is quick to make a connection with his customers. Often a customer will share why they’re looking for a specific item and he can help them feel special for their event.
Chris values his family, faith, friendship, traditions and making new memories. I am blessed to be married to such a wonderful husband and I know he will be a patient and loving father.
FAMILY IS EVERYTHING
Love makes a family. We are so lucky that both sets of grandparents live no more than 20 minutes away from us – all are always willing to lend a helping hand. Our parents have both been married for over 40 years and have shown us what a loving marriage is like.
Making memories with our family is very important to us and we see them often. All four grandparents are looking forward to making crafts, camping, and baking with their new grandchild. Family traditions with aunts (2), uncles (4) and cousins (3) include pumpkin picking, hunting for Easter eggs, and ugly Christmas sweater parties. Summer beach vacations provide endless family fun splashing in the waves, building sandcastles, eating ice cream and boardwalk rides. Our family is full of love and laughter.
Every one of our family and friends has been more than supportive through this whole process. We cannot express to you enough the amount of love and attention your child would receive from our family.
Our Home and Community:
Our home is in a park-like setting with a tree-lined courtyard and community pool. Our neighborhood has lots of green space for playing catch, kicking a soccer ball or flying a kite. Our community is extremely diverse, with many cultural and culinary destinations, including farmer’s markets, family oriented street fairs and carnivals, and local theatres.
We love where we live:
EXPLORING NYC every season! Seeing shows at local theaters, walking trails along the Hudson River, trying new food at local restaurants, visiting the zoo and aquarium, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Our favorite time of year is Christmas in NYC: strolling Fifth Ave, saying a prayer at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, watching the ice skaters at Rockefeller Center, cheering along to the Saks Fifth Avenue light and music display.
SUMMER BEACH VACATIONS to Wildwood Crest – quality time to splash in the ocean, build sand castles, rides on the boardwalk, mini golf, and ice cream every night!
PUMPKIN PICKING at a local farm in the fall – complete with a hay ride, cornstalk maze, petting zoo and pony rides.
Enjoying SPORTS AND MUSIC all year round! We are close enough to all venues to attend sporting events throughout the year including Baseball, Football, Hockey and Basketball. These same venues also host concerts – we love to see live music shows.
OUR MESSAGE TO YOU
We promise to share with your child what you mean to us and to ensure that you are always a part of your child’s life story! You are the foundation that brought us together and your child will know this. We would cherish an ongoing relationship with you, too, if that is your preference.
We cannot wait for the next chapter of our lives to begin through adoption. We hope that we can be a part of your journey and give you peace with your decision.
