Introduction
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are Rob & Corinne. We have been married for three and a half years and have lived in our New Jersey home since 2018. Adoption has always been our first & only plan. We spend nearly every day thinking, talking, & learning how to best support our future adopted child.
About Us
We met in a doctor’s office a couple of years before we started dating. Because both of our jobs involved visiting doctors and pharmacies in the same area, we began to run into each other regularly. The more we chatted, the more we realized how much we had in common. Corinne has been interested in adoption since she learned about the concept when she was a little girl. As she grew up, she spent much of her free time reading & asking questions about how to best support an adopted child. Rob has always wanted to start a family and raise children. As he got older, he realized that he has a deep passion for loving and supporting all people, not just people within his biological family.
Family Life:
Some of our favorite times are spent at home either working on projects or playing board games. We also have 3 very sweet & snuggly cats (Gus, Damien & Hobbes) who like to keep us company while we’re around the house. We pretty much always have at least one cat either sitting on our laps or following us around at any given time. Rob spends a lot of time playing his guitar & listening to music. He also really enjoys reading & collecting books. We have fully stocked bookcases all over our house and even more boxes waiting in storage. Corinne really enjoys antiquing & DIY projects. Our house is full of furniture pieces that she has painted, reupholstered, and restored. She also spends a lot of time cooking & doing yoga.
Friends and Family:
Rob’s parents live about 20 minutes away. We love that we get to see them all the time. Corinne’s family lives on Long Island, but we still manage to see them often. All four of our parents are incredibly excited to have a first grandchild. In addition to our biological families, we have a fantastic network of friends who all live within 15-30 minutes of our home. Many of these friends became first time parents this year, which means our future child already has a handful of new playmates waiting for him/her.
Our Home and Community:
Our house sits on a hill across from a river, waterfall & a small park. We live in a quiet & diverse suburb with great schools and very friendly neighbors. Since we moved in, we’ve already put together a nursery & recently completed our large finished basement/playroom area. We also have a very welcoming sun room which is great for summer days when it’s too hot to stay outside. We chose our home in part because it kept us close to our church community. We are really fortunate to have found such a warm, diverse, & tight-knit group of individuals in one place. We have hosted holiday parties together, participated in charity projects together, & offered help to one another in difficult times. Corinne also teaches Sunday school regularly. Our church is full of thoughtful, creative & bright children- all of whom will make fantastic role models for a baby.

We both agree that creating an adoption plan is one of the greatest and most selfless acts of love that can be shown. If chosen, we promise to honor that act of love by committing to be the best parents we can possible be for your child. We promise to love and support your child unconditionally for the rest of our lives.
Additionally, we promise to teach your child that they came to us specifically because of how much their birthmother loved them.
