Introduction

Hi! We are Holly and George. We are hoping to adopt our first child and give this child a lifetime of love, values, and happiness.

About Us

We really believe it was fate that brought us together. We met through a mutual friend on a blind date, if you can believe it. We both grew up in the same small town and never knew each other until that first date. Since then, every single day has been filled with wonderful experiences, a great extended family, and a lot of love and affection.

About Holly, by George
If I could think of one word that best describes Holly, it would be family. Family is what means so much to Holly. She is the most caring person I know, always wanting the best for those close to her and sacrificing to make sure others are happy, comfortable, and settled. Holly talks to her parents and her sister just about every day, finding out what is new and exciting in their lives and filling them in on what is new and exciting in our lives. Her tight bond with her family gives her such a great foundation to be a wonderful mother, which I am sure she will be. She is selfless with her time, loves with her entire heart, and builds her whole world around those she cares about.

About George, by Holly
There are a lot of traits George has which will make him a great dad. He is loving, sensitive, patient, dependable, and compassionate. George believes in discipline and strong character, but is fair and open-minded. I look at what he has done for my sister, helping her with her schoolwork, and how he mentors and protects his younger brother. Emotion does not scare him; he shows great love for his family and friends and wears his heart on his sleeve. I see George as a hands-on Dad, whether it is helping his child with a science project or coaching Little League. As a husband, he is my best friend, easy to talk to and a great listener. And, he just might be the funniest person I have ever met. He keeps me laughing, no matter if I have a good day or a bad day.

Family Life

We are extremely close with our families and spend lots of time together for holidays and other family functions. We both have parents who have remarried, but that just means we have more love to go around in our family. We both have younger siblings. We believe it truly takes a village to raise a child and we have four extended families who are all ready to jump in!

Our grandmothers are very special people. They both say a lot about who we are and who we try to be. They both had a big hand in raising each of us. George’s grandmother passed away five years ago, but George always remembers her lessons and humor. Holly’s grandmother has always been a guiding light for Holly. At 92, she lives in a nursing home and we see her often.

Our Friends and Family

Erica is Holly’s sister and she has a special story. Erica was adopted 19 years ago from China. She is smart, funny, and very important to George and Holly.

Seven years ago, both of Erica’s kidneys failed suddenly, right around Christmastime, and she needed a transplant immediately. Luckily, George was a match and was able to donate his kidney to her. The transplant went very well and she is now a healthy teenager, graduating from high school last June.

As Holly’s best friend, she could not have asked for a better sister. There may be an age difference between Holly and Erica, but they still hang out like best friends do. George never thinks of Erica as a sister-in-law. They are brother and sister (and blood relatives, too!).

George’s brother, Peter, is his best friend. They are six years apart and George has always acted like a big brother and tried to pave the way for Peter, whether it was advice on school, work, or anything else in life. George and Peter talk regularly and sometimes start joking around about their favorite movies or TV shows they grew up watching together. While Holly was not there when they were kids, she has come to feel close to Peter, like the brother she never had.

Our Home and Community

We live in a beautiful semi-rural community with two stop-lights and a general store. We have some of the best schools in New Jersey, which is the main reason why we moved to our town.

Our three-bedroom Colonial-style house is situated on an acre of land and provides a lot of room to roam. We have a basketball hoop in the driveway, a ping-pong table in the garage, and a nice yard to throw a football or play wiffle ball. We like to host holiday gatherings at our house, as well as barbeques in the summer.

Our Message to You

We have wanted to be parents all our lives. We want to pass along what we have learned down to the next generation and, as parents, we want our child to have a better life than we have had. We promise to raise a child with every opportunity we can give him or her, who will be a good citizen in his or her community and proud of their history and heritage.
