Meet Jonathan and Liza
We humbly offer our gratitude for your time in reviewing our profile. We do not have any children, and we are looking forward to having our first. There are no words to describe how much of an honor it is for you to consider us. In our eyes, you are courageous, strong, and possibly the kindest person to consider helping us. We do not know if we are able to give you the full picture of our family in such a limited fashion, but there is a lot of love in our home and we are seeking to share it.
About Us:
How we met: (our own Hallmark “Meet Cute”)
We met unexpectedly on a train, that neither of us were supposed to be on. But due to a snow storm, we found ourselves sitting next to each other. We easily started a conversation that lasted the entire ride home. The following week, we texted and talked on the phone like teenagers. We finally had our first official date a week later. We instantly felt a connection and closed two restaurants down. Fast forward twelve years, and we are happily married and ready to expand our family of two (four if you count dogs), to three (five).
We are so grateful to be able to say that we are truly best friends. We do almost everything together. We love to spend time outdoors, whether that be hiking, swimming at the beach, practicing yoga, cycling, gardening, or taking our dogs for long walks. We live close to NYC and love going there to see a show, ballet, or to roam museums.
Liza loves gardening and Jonathan loves cooking; making an ideal combination for fresh, true farm to table meals. We are ardent travelers and adore experiencing other cultures. When abroad, we are always trying new foods, experiencing different performing arts, and attending the local sporting events. However, sometimes, we just like to stay in, and cuddle with our dogs while watching a favorite movie or reading a good book.
Our Family and Friends:
We are very blessed to both have families we are very close with. Liza’s mother, Lois, lives with us and she can’t wait to become a grandmother. Lois enjoys learning new things, and is always taking a new class such as Spanish, painting, calligraphy, crafting, and horseback riding. She also loves cooking soups in the colder seasons to warm everyone up.
Jonathan’s parents live in the neighboring town and we have dinner with them at least once a week. His mother and father both love to cook recipes they learned from their parents and grandparents. Jonathan’s mother is from Guadalajara, Mexico and always cooks amazing Mexican dishes. Both of Jonathan’s parents are fluent in Spanish, and are eager to pass that on to their grandchild. Jonathan’s parents love hosting big family holidays and parties throughout the year, filling their home and yard with three generations of family and friends. We love spending time with our families and are so grateful for their support and love. They have been so supportive and cannot wait for our family to grow.
We also have a very close and diverse group of friends. Many of whom have children of their own. There is always a birthday or summer barbeque to attend with lots of outdoor games and activities. We can’t wait to watch our child become friends with their children. Please know that this child will immediately be surrounded by lots of family and friends to help support and love them.
Our Home and Community:
We live in a beautiful and spacious townhouse in a diverse and picturesque town, close to the beach, parks with playgrounds, and a short train ride into NYC. We are exposed to many different cultures here. And our neighborhood is filled with lots of young families. We can imagine our child making friends with the neighborhood kids, just as we did when we were growing up.

Becoming parents is something we have always dreamt of. We can’t wait to share our love of books by reading to our child every night. We are so excited to play in our favorite park on a Saturday morning, spend days on the beach, or going into the city for a special day to see the Nutcracker.
Our pledge is to be the best version of ourselves so your child can have good role models to look up to. We promise to encourage their hopes and dreams. We promise to give your child the love and education required to be the most confident version of themselves. We vow to always be forthright and truthful about your role in our child’s life and to allow you the level of openness you are comfortable with.
