Introduction
Hello, we are Mike and Nicole! We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to view our profile and learn more about us. Your courage and selflessness to take this journey is truly inspiring. By choosing adoption, you will forever change our lives in such a positive and impactful way. We are excited and grateful to be on this path with you and look forward to this new beginning together.
We hope this profile gives you a good picture of who we are and the kind of life we will provide. We have always dreamt of having a family one day and are so excited for what our future holds. Having come from large loving families ourselves, we are looking forward to providing a life filled with love, laughter, support and opportunity for a child one day.
About Us
We met in February 2011 through mutual friends and have been inseparable ever since. We knew from the moment we met that we were destined to be together. We got engaged in 2013 and married in December 2014. Through the years our relationship as grown to be the solid foundation it is today. We truly complement each other and bring out the best qualities in one another. Mike keeps Nicole grounded and supports her strong will and goals. Nicole brings out Mike’s sensitivity and fuels his compassion. We are HUGE on open communication, trust and having a sense of humor. We always make it a point to be open with our feelings and talk through the serious issues. But it is also so important for us to see the light side and humor in life. We are always making each other laugh and make the best of every situation. We are both hard workers, but also value the importance of spending quality time with each other, friends and family.
Mike is our resident Rockstar. When he is not working at his full-time job in the utility industry, you can find him with his guitar. Whether he is jammin’ with his band, teaching lessons on the weekends at a music school, or just strumming around the house, he is always immersed in music. It is truly a gift to be able to teach your talent, and Mike truly is gifted. Not only is he musically inclined, but he is also extremely patient and kind. Both incredible qualities that will make him amazing at fatherhood one day. Mike is also incredibly hard working and handy. He loves to provide for his family. It has always been important to him to be able to give his family the best life possible. His kind heart and hardworking demeanor are unparalleled!
Nicole is our outgoing, warm hearted, artist. She is employed full time as Supervisor and is also a hard worker much like Mike. When she is not at work you can find her spending her time doing freelance photography, drawing, or working in the garden. Nicole’s personality is truly infectious. She has the ability to make you feel warm and comfortable from the moment you meet her. The kind of person you feel like you’ve known for years, the first time you speak with her. She enjoys cooking with Mike, spending time with family and friends, as well as hanging at home with her dogs. Nicole is gentle and loves caring for others, both qualities that will make her an amazing mother one day. Her kind heart and easy-going personality makes people feel instantly welcomed!
Family and Friends
We are truly blessed with an incredible support system in our family. We are all extremely close. Mike is one of 3, having 2 sisters, one older and one younger. Nicole has an older sister. Combined we have 3 nephews and 2 nieces! We all live in the same state, so we are fortunate enough to be able to see each other as often as possible. We like to spend holidays and birthdays together as well as just hanging out spending quality time on the weekends. We all celebrate each other’s successes and support each other through our struggles. We both instantly bonded with each other’s families when we first met. Our large blended family is loving, supporting and looking forward to welcoming a child with open arms!
Our friends are like our second family. When we met, we joined two sets of friends that we each have been friends with since elementary school. We are both known as “Aunt Cole” and “Uncle Mike” to all their children. They too support us both in all we do. They are excited for us on this journey and look forward to what the future brings.
Two very important members of our family who cannot go unmentioned are our two dogs, Wally and Hank! These two pups have taught us how to truly be selfless and love unconditionally. Both came to us as rescues, found abandoned on the city streets. Both have physical disabilities. Wally has a collapsed trachea and Hank is blind. However, despite their disabilities and what they had been through they are both incredibly loving and gentle. We fell in love with them immediately and couldn’t wait to give them a good home filled with love and patience. Both Wally and Hank love to cuddle and play! They can’t wait to welcome the newest edition to our family!
Our Home and Community
We both grew up in beach towns and currently live a short 15-minute drive from the shore. The town we live in has a great school system. Our neighborhood is quaint and friendly, with families and children. It is also quiet and safe, both selling points while we were looking to buy a home. Our house is modest, 2 bed rooms and 2 bathrooms, with a fenced in yard. Our second bedroom is renovated and waiting for the perfect addition to our family.
Our Values
We value open communication, trust and keeping an open mind. During our home study they asked us what we see for a child in 10 years, in 20 years. And we both separately said the same thing. That we want to raise a good person. We live in a vast diverse world, that gets more diverse by the second. We want to teach our child to be kind, patient and open minded to all of life's differences and hurdles. We want to instill confidence and strength, with our support and love.

Most importantly not only will they grow up knowing how much we love them, but we promise that they will grow up knowing how much you love them. They will understand that the selfless sacrifice you have made is purely an act of love. We are in awe of your strength and compassion in considering adoption for your child.
