Introduction:
Hi! We are Courtney, Robert, and Mia.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider us for your birth plan. As experienced adoptive parents, we are very excited and ready to welcome a second child into our home. We have an ongoing relationship with our daughter's birth mom and would welcome the same with you. If you decide to make an adoption plan with us, we will not take this choice lightly. Our family will love your baby with our whole heart and provide a safe, caring, supportive, happy life with many wonderful opportunities.
About Us:
We are college sweethearts, together for over 20 years. We were blessed in 2021 with the adoption of our amazing daughter, Mia. We have continued to build a very strong foundation to welcome another child into our family.
Mia is a loving, almost 3-year-old, girl who gets along so well with her cousins and friends. She loves all of her baby dolls and will be excited to have a real little brother or sister, give them hugs, kisses, and all the love she already gives so freely. We know she will be a wonderful big sister too!
We both love being parents, not to mention being aunt, uncle, and Godparents. With Mia, we really appreciate and cherish our time together as a family. It's the small and silly times, the giggle fests, and moments that come at the most random times that really make our day.
When not parenting, Courtney likes to garden, exercise, read books and magazines, and curl up on the couch to watch some tv. Rob enjoys meeting up with friends to hang out or have dinner. He also enjoys going for long runs, lifting weights, reading, and watching movies.
Our Family and friends:
We have an amazing support system in place consisting of large extended families and friends that love us. Everyone was so excited to welcome Mia with open arms, and we know it would be the same with a newly adopted baby. We are fortunate in that we both work from home, Courtney working part time 2 days a week in order to stay home with Mia. This allows us to spend as much time as we can together as a family.
Both sets of grandparents are retired and look forward to weekly babysitting (each gets a day), spending time with us, having fun adventures, and helping with Mia. Rob has a sister who is married with 2 school-age children. Courtney has a brother who is married with a 2-year-old who is already close with our daughter.
We also have many friends, near and far, with kids of all ages who are all caring, love to play, and would be very excited and welcoming of another child into the family.
Our Home:
We love our 4 bedroom, 2 bath home. We live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with many families with children and great neighbors. We have a fully fenced backyard and set up our patio to hang out and relax. It’s also the perfect spot for bubbles, water tables, and fun in the summer. We also live near a children's park which Mia loves. We go to the park or out for a walk every day the weather allows.
We have two, very friendly domestic cats named Dash and Daisy—10 and 13 years old. Daisy has become Mia’s new best friend.
