Introduction

Hello! We are Brian and Wei. We are honored that you are considering us as adoptive parents, and we appreciate you taking the time to learn more about our lives and deep desire to become parents. We admire your courage as you make this very selfless and loving decision for your baby. We want you to know that our love, devotion to each other, and dreams of having a family have led us to adoption. If chosen, we are committed to providing your child with unconditional love, a supportive and nurturing home, and a life full of joy and happiness.

About Us

Our marriage is one built on love, trust, honesty, friendship, and respect for one another. We both grew up in supportive, loving, and stable families, and we will offer the same enduring and sustained love to your child. We have been together since 2013 and from the beginning, we shared many of the same hopes, values, and dreams. Soon after we got married in 2015, we purchased and renovated a spacious Victorian home to raise a family. We enjoy many of the same hobbies together, which are hiking with our dog Lily, traveling, camping, and spending time with friends and family. We are both loving, fun, friendly, energetic, caring, ambitious, and creative.

We have been fortunate to have fulfilling and successful careers. Wei is currently a property manager in NYC but is looking forward to transitioning to a full-time stay-at-home dad and part-time realtor. Wei grew up in Taiwan and came to the U.S. in his teens and quickly became fluent in English. He also speaks Mandarin and Cantonese. He went to college for art. His hobbies are oil painting, snowboarding, and playing volleyball. Brian is a high school orchestra teacher and plays violin professionally. He earned two master's degrees and a doctorate in education from prestigious universities. He can teach anyone to play the violin, even his 4-year-old nephew. His hobbies include playing in string quartets with friends, running, working out, cooking, and learning Italian and Mandarin. Because of hard work, and commitment to our shared dreams and goals, we are very financially stable and have already started a college fund.

Our Home

Our house has a large backyard and is only a couple of blocks from the bay, parks, baseball fields, and our local schools. In the summers we have family and friends over for barbecues. We watch the sailboats in the bay, enjoy the nearby beach, delight in the 4th of July fireworks, and sit around the backyard firepit. We also have a dog named Lily who loves to play, catch frisbees, do tricks, and who is great with our small nephews and friends' kids.

Our Promise

We cannot wait to explore the world with a child and provide opportunities for him or her to experience the beautiful blending of our different cultures and languages! We often travel around the United States and internationally to visit friends and family. We look forward to fun trips to Disney and day trips to museums, zoos, and sporting events. We also travel regularly to Taiwan to visit Wei’s family and to visit our friends who live in Asia and Europe. Our jobs allow us to travel during the summer which means we can devote lots of time with our child. We are also grateful to have a deeply supportive and loving family, and friends nearby, many of whom have small children and are ready to join us on playdates!

A child growing up in our home and family will know evenings filled with bedtime stories, Sunday mornings making blueberry pancakes together, family game and movie nights, afternoon trips to the park, and joyous celebrations of birthdays and special events. Winter days will be spent building snowmen, making hot chocolate, and enjoying holidays surrounded by family; there will always be lots of hugs and kisses! We want you to know we are flexible and are open to all types of adoptions. Please know that if you choose to place your child in our home, they will be given life with a family that will love them unconditionally, provide them with the best education, foster their talents and ambitions, teach them how to win and lose, and most of all, treasure them endlessly!
